What Causes Painful Clogging In The Ear?

used carbamide peroxide to try to handle clogged feeling in right ear. It felt more clogged and now is in a lot of pain. What can that mean and what can I do in the meantime until I call my doctor (if calling doctor is still necessary in the morning)
