What Causes Painful Discomfort In Breast?

Hi my partner has been having painful discomfort in her left breast ongoing for a while now, it only comes on at night time and will keep her awake the pain is localized deep behind her nipple if she puts pressure on the area this will ease the pain also if I massage a certain spot on her back just to the right of her left scapula. Pleas help
