What Causes Painful Eye With History Of Shingles In Eye?

I previously have has shingles in my left eye and for the past few days it has been burning and hurting. There seemed to be a little bit of irritation inside the bottom eyelid but that is gone. I just want to keep the eye closed for relief. Any idea what it might be?
