What Causes Painful Inner Thigh?

Hello, I am having pain on inside of my left thigh. Very painful, felt a little node halfway up a couple days ago but that has gone. It was better and then pain is back and area is hard. Feels like it could by vein or lymph related. Is that possible? Thx L:)
