What Causes Painful Knee Post Meniscus Tear Repair?

26 days ago the dr repaired a tear in my miniscus in my right knee,,,,this was the worst pain yet,,,and i smashed C2 all to rat poop,,why is the pain so bad still at this time? the back of my knee is on fire at times, and today i walked on concrete flooring for 5 minutes and was pouched,,,,can i expect to recover in a bit more time?
