What Causes Painful Lump On Head After A Head Injury?

While I was at the pain center receiving an epidural they accidently dropped me off the procedure table onto my head in the floor. I woke up with terrible pain in my head and swelling the size of baseball sticking out about 1/2 inch. They put ice on it and sent me straight to hospital for cat scan. They said test showed up ok but I still have small lump about size of quarter that is still very painful. The accident happened 2 weeks ago and besides having painful knot on my head, my neck and shoulders are still very tight and sore. Should I be concerned. I really don t know exactly what happened except they dropped me because they had put me to sleep. They didn t give my family any information when they picked me up, and the only follow-up I had was when they called the next day to see how I was feeling like they always do. Since they did a cat scan can I assume everything is ok.
