What Causes Painful Ovulation Followed By Pain In Right Abdomen?

I recently had a mildly painful ovulation (i was just very aware it was happening felt very much like period pain) and ever since have had pain in the right side of my abdomen. We are trying to concieve at the moment, and i have in the last 2 years had my appendix out. I ve only had the pain for 3 or 4 days.
