What Causes Painful Rash At The Tip Pf Penis?

Hello, about a week and a half ago, I had swelling around the foreskin of my penis, followed by urinary urgency, but without any pain. The swelling then subsided, but I then developed at rash (red) with a grayish white puss around the top portion of the rash. I started a course of doxycycline, as well as miconazole applied to the area 2-3 times per day. The rash is slowly decreasing in size, but is still somewhat painful when brushed against my clothing. I have only been with 1 person sexually within the past 2 mo. and was in a tanning bed the day in which the signs and symptoms started. Is it safe to say that this is Balanitis and is being treated properly?
