What Causes Painful Red Sore On The Scalp?

I have a sore on my scalp that is raised and red. I have headaches around the same spot regularily and was just wondering if this is something I should have looked at by a dr. I am a 3+ yr survivor of breast cancer (er+ and triple negative), which was on my left side. What do you think?
