What Causes Painful Sensation On The Left Side Of Head?

Im having a painful sensation on the left side of my head, not too painful but enough to notice it sometimes.The source of the pain is past my ear and is a little more on the top left.If i touch it it starts to hurt even more.Its been a week now and it hasnt gone away.
