What Causes Painful Swollen Lower Abdomen?

Hi there
I am a 27 year old female. I have been getting pains in the lower part of my tummy and sometimes it seems swollen. It hurts if i push on my tummy and when i sit down it hurts as i sit. Ive done a pregnancy test and its negative. Please can you help
