What Causes Painful Tailbone After Having Lumbar Puncture?

I'm having extreme pain in my tailbone after a lumbar puncture. It has been three days. The physician adjusted the needle after it was already in place by pulling it out a little and pushing it back in, it caused an immediate jolt of electricity into my tailbone. I never felt any pain in my legs. I have been in a lot of pain since which brings me to tears. Please tell me what this could be and what I need to do.
