What Causes Painful Tugging At The Bottom Of The Penile Shaft?

I had a boil appear, and also, had a large inguinal swelling.I am studying Biology at university, so although I assumed it was a swollen lymph, it looked like a Hernia, so I went to the GP, to be safe.It was indeed, simply a lymphatic swelling, and it was due to the infected boil. (which is on the penile shaft). He prescribed me some flucloxacillin, which seems to be reducing the swelling of the lymph, however, the boil has simply become a scab. Which still has some pus beneath it.However, the real worry I have, is a tugging feeling I have at the bottom of my shaft/beginning of the pubic region. Beneath the skin, it feels like a solid tube. It leads away from the boil, into my pubic area, and is very painful. Any sort of pull on the penis, results in a sharp tugging pain on this tube.Whatever could this be? Its concerning me highly.
