What Causes Palpitations In The Mid Of Chest?

Sometimes when I've just sit down or am sitting down (sometimes standing or walking even!) I feel a palpitation of sorts in the middle of my chest...it's a little bit painful...it's worried me some but it's right in the middle of my chest, not over by my heart... Idk. Doesn't feel like I'm getting it across...
