What Causes Palpitations When Suffering From Stomach Infection?

I am 33 and have a stomach virus and have been noticing a weird feeling like palpitation in my chest. When I check my pulse it s normal except for what seems like an occasional missed beat when I have that chest feeling. I am a nurse and tend to down play things but my husband is concerned...should I be? History wise a have very seldom love you felt this same feeling in everyday life and about 1 month ago I had about a 2 minute tachycardia episode while I was playing volleyball. It was stopped by coughing and bearing down.
