What Causes Panic Attack When On Ambien?

I've been taking Ambien for 2 months and have just started to experience severe panic attacks. I take 100 mg.s of Zoloft a day and have for years without the slightest hint of panic. Now, after having been on Ambien, my panic has resurfaced ten fold. Should I stop taking Ambien?
