What Causes Partial Vision In The Eye With Severe Headache?

Yesterday, I had a blind spell in my left eye, I could only see half of anything on that side. I laid down and closed my eyes for about 10-15 minutes and then, after it went away I took a real bad headache over that eye. What could be wrong? I am on blood pressure medicine, this is the only medicine that I am on.
