What Causes Patchy Redness Around Ankle And Blotchy Redness On Calves?

I have unusual patchy redness around my ankles and blotchy redness up my calves. It does not itch or doesn t seem to hurt to the touch. One of my ankles appears to be slightly swollen. It started after I had done quite a bit of walking and I was wearing linen pant socks at the time. I do have a history of high blood pressure, but it is under control with a low dose medication. I am a fairly active 55 year old school counselor. Any ideas?
