What Causes Pepper Taste On Tongue And Tingling Numbness On Parts Of Hand?

Hello, I have a sudden onset of peppery taste on my tongue and in my mouth, also at the back of my throat.
Also have bad tingling and numbness in my fingers and parts of my hands.
Would you know what that could be about?
I am 58 year old woman, about 18 months ago I was diagnosed with dimaelation of some of my nerves.
Otherwise healthy.
