What Causes Perimenopause Symptoms With History Of High Estrogen Levels?

At the middle of my 34th year, I have been experiencing all the signs of pre-menopause (although my period lasts 2 or 3 days longer than usual). If these are all symptoms of pre-menopause hitting me like a train-wreck in the last 3 months, what should I assume? (I have a history of too high estrogen levels which resulted in seizure auras from the age of 13 to 25 - I am afraid of upping my estrogen levels again.)
