What Causes Periods After Having Unprotected Sex While On Depo Shot?

it is my 5th month on depo and i was told i was no longer going to be getting my period and if i did there might be something wrong. had unprotected sex twice and a month later period started. Its been almost 4 weeks and im still on my period i have really bad cramps and i dont know what this could mean!
