What Causes Periods To Come Early While On Microgynon?

Hi i have been on the microgynon pill for over 4 yrs now and always had regular menstrual cycle, however the last 2 months i have experienced bleeding approx 1 week before my period is due.. or 3 days of my pill left in the pack.. what could this be?
