What Causes Persistent Bad Taste On Tongue?

Hello, I have a taste in my mouth that is best described as comparable to what Ben-Gay smells like. I have had it for 3 years. I've had OTC heartburn medications, prescription meds for GERD and had an upper GI done that showed no abnormalities. I am so frustrated that a cause can not be found. Can you help me?
