What Causes Persistent Cough And Difficulty In Breathing Despite Taking Bactrim?

I saw my primary care doctor last Monday (02/23/15) for a bad cough, weakness, and some trouble breathing and was put on Bactrim DS 800-160 and I take 1 tablet by mouth twice a day for 10 days for bronchitis and I still am having trouble with coughing, fatigue, and trouble breathing. Should I see him again before the medicine is done?
