What Causes Persistent Dull Headache With Spotting?

I have been having faint headaches and spotting every few days for the last two weeks. Not pregnant well I shouldn't be. I thought the headache was sinus related. Can the spotting be stress related because my period was due the first week of January. Also I was in Florida for 10 days end of December could that have thrown my body off too ?
