What Causes Persistent Ear Problems Despite Multiple Treatments, And Is It Advisable To See An ENT Specialist?

Hello! 69 yr old male great health. Two weeks ago started having ear issues. Left side. Clogged and could not hear out of that ear. Dr washed it out and ear wax was blocking canal. Prescribed ear drops. Again started with a throbbing pain but not severe. Blocked again could not hear. Went to second dr, washed out and found minor junk (?) in ear and different drops. Two days later, today, went back not being able to hear again. No blockage but white milky substance. Referred to ENT. trying to research, whats your opinion.
