What Causes Persistent Fever And Cough In A Child?

Hi, my daughter is 11 years old before 8 days she start continuous cough and high fever Doctor prescribed some medicine to stop cough but it was of no use, aother doctor said it is an allergic and gave finallergy and butalin and cefutel tab and gupisone and adole , the cough reduced and no fever right now. my daughter has undergone adenoid surgery before 3 years, my question is Is there any of the above medicine has side effect? what you suggest us to do?
