What Causes Persistent Fever And Migraine While Treating Flu?

I caught the flu a few days ago. One of the symptoms was headaches/migraines. After the dr. put me on meds, other symptoms started to go away except for 2, the migraines and temp. when i started taking 1000mg of tylenol 2x a day the temp would lower but the migraines remain. When the migraines weren't hurting, i would feel pain at the top of my head, right underneath my hair, as if by the hair follicles. the pain is bad and it's painful to the touch. i tried applying a cold compress on my forehead and temples, where the migraines were effecting, and it would ease the pain. however, when i would do the same for the "hair follicle headaches" it didn't help at all! any suggestions what it could be, what's causing it, and what may help it? thanks in advance.
