What Causes Persistent Flu Despite Being Vaccinated?

I had what I think was the flu for over 2 weeks I had been to my Dr at Clovis Medical and she had given me tests to be done..
I had the flu shot in that office but still got what I think was the flu.. I am a pretty healthy women of 82 years old and do most every thing myself.. my question is did I have the flu or was it a mini stroke?? Do I need further testing ??
