What Causes Persistent Foot Pain?

Our 2 and a half year old is complaining of foot pain. We can t see any bruise or obstruction. He wants to crawl around, even when he doesn t have on shoes. Seems he doesn t want to put any weight on the foot, when we ask him where it hurts he says his foot/
