What Causes Persistent Headaches And Fever In A Child?

My 4 year old son has been running a fever for the passed 3 weeks and constantly complaining about Headaches I took him to the ER and they didn t do any test or anything to see what could be causing these headaches. What could exactly be wrong and what should I do about it?
