What Causes Persistent Pain And Discomfort In Lower Abdomen?

My son has had sever pain in his lower right stomach since 12/17. The pain has caused him to go to the ER room several times. He is on pain pills. He has pain when walking and he can not walk for over 10 minutes because of the pain and discomfort. He also has pain when sitting and sleeping.
