What Causes Persistent Pain In Collar Bone?

I broke my collar bone 11 years ago in a MVC, however now a days I find it still really hurts. Carrying a bad to long, weather changes, physical activity all cause it to hurt pretty bad. What can I do for the pain, and is it supposed to hurt this long after?
