What Causes Persisting Dull Pain In Lower Abdomen?

I have been researching for the past hour and am thinking that I may have Irritable Bowl Syndrome. For the past month or so, I have a dull ache on my left side, towards my back. Some days I hardly notice it, other days it s pretty bothersome. It s not a sharp pain at all. What are your thoughts?
