What Causes Piece Of Skin Along With Blood Discharge From Vagina?

I am overdue on my period because I have taken two packs of birth control pills in a row. I have been bleeding lightly which I know normally happens on birth control. A small piece of skin came out with the blood and I had period like pains before it happened even though I think I will be on my period in two days. What could this be?
