What Causes Pimple Like Bump On The Edge Of Areola?

I had a pimple like bump on the edge of my areola that had popped. It gave out a white, chunky puss. It has refilled a few times and popped as well. It has refilled again and it can get kind of sore. I have a Dr. appointment, but I am just really scared. What could it be?
