What Causes Pimples On The Upper Lips?

I recently started dating a man and after the very first time we kissed I noticed some tiny, light colored pimples on my upper lip (in the middle of each half). They are noticeable only when I strech my lip. We saw each other again last night and kissed. No oral sex was perfomed. his morning the pimples had gotten worse on the right side of my upper lip. We took a look at his lips and he does not have any. I looked in my mouth to see if there were there too and, maybe I am just going paranoid, but I think I see a couple at the front, left edge of my tongue. I did not think to look "inside" his mouth though.

I am a healthy, 29 year old black woman and this has never happened to me. He is a caucasian 31 year old man who seems in great shape too. I do not know if he is honest when he says he has nothing on his side.
