What Causes Pink And Light Vaginal Bleeding While HPT Is Negative?

ok i started bleeding very lightly the other day and if it was my period i started a week or week and a half early but the bleeding only lasted 2 days but it wasnt like a regular period. it was very light and pink. i took a pregnancy test n it said negative. what does this mean?
