What Causes Pink Discharge?

Hello. I had my regular period on April 3rd. Then I had unprotected sex on the 9th and 10th. Then on the 12th I had light pink discharge I thought it was my period and thought it was to soon for my period but I put in my nuvaring. What is with the pink discharge that has never happened.
