What Causes Polyps And Thickening Of The Uterus Lining?

Hi there. I'm a 35 yr old woman and I've been told I have polyps and thickening of the uterus lining. I have an appointment on the 12, but I'm scared and REALY stressed out. I'm about 5ft5, about 9st. My son is 13 months old. Had a normal (if alittle quick!) delivery with no pain relief. I've no idea what is/could be wrong, please help?!
