What Causes Poor Blood Circulation In Ankle Post Surgery For Bimalleolar Fracture?

I recently incurred a bimalleolar fracture of my right ankle which surgically repaired..plates, screws, and a rod...what I am most concerned about is poor circulation...please advise what I can do at home to alleviate this issue...my next appointment is April 14...thanks so much!
