What Causes Popping Sound In Hip Along With Pain In Groin?

Hi, I am 19 and I have always heard a popping noise as I would rotate my right hip. For school, we went for a long and difficult hike with a heavy bag and I had hip and maybe groin pain troughout the week-end. After that, walking would hurt, I couldn t lift my leg without pain so I iced it for a while and took a rest from exercising. As I started working out again I would respect the limits of my hip and ice it afterwards... Now I don t have any pain while walking but when I exercise my hip is way easier to pop and depending on the movement it crunchs as well.. It is very uncomfortable and annoying... Also it leads to minor hip pain afterwards.. I was wondering what I could do to correct my hip because it wasn t doing this before and I m wondering if it could be severe or arthritis... thank you for the help!!!
