What Causes Pregnancy Symptoms While On NuvaRing?

my girlfriend has been on the nuvaring for a year now. no problems but recently in the final week of her 3 weeks i ejaculated in her and she suddenly feels wierd and sick all the time. i know its only 99% effective but she couldnt be pregnant from that is she?
