First of all, thank you for your time.
My issue started on July 28th when I took a flight to Maine from DC. It was a short flight, and I have flown many times before, but there was a different ‘feel’ to it. Like my ear (right especially) wasn’t popping quite right, and I seemed to feel more of the flight. When we landed I felt fine, was fine throughout the night and into the next day until I hit the pool. I have been in water thousands of times without ever having water in my ear or needing ear plugs. This time however, the second my head was submerged water filled my right ear. Imagine holding a cup sideways and slowly lowering into water. This is what it felt like. Although I found it annoying, had no pain or discomfort. Just kept my head above water. Went out to dinner that evening and was fine, but around 7:30 PM (24+ hours from flight), while at the table, had a sudden whoosh feeling like I was falling, or like someone had flushed the blood from my head. I did not lose balance, and in fact never showed any signs to my companions. This kept happening to the point that I had to go wait in the car. For the rest of my week I would have bouts with this, and found myself feeling like I was in a roller coaster when in the car. Even driving slowly down a driveway I felt every bit of the acceleration, etc. The flight home was just as distressing, but after a day or two of symptoms, went three weeks without any lingering issues except for eye discomfort (was 20/19 vision before all of this). Then without warning while grocery shopping had that whoosh start again (and my heart races like crazy with anxiety after), and struggled home. I hope that it is something related to the ear, but I have no hearing loss, no pain or irritation. Just head pressure, eye issues, and the like. Please help. I have no insurance and want to get an idea of what I should do before spending any money.
