What Causes Pricking Pain In Throat?

I had cold before two weeks so had throat infection too but even after three weeks though cold had gone still feeling too pricking pain in throat especially leftside eventhough I m gargling with hotsalt water I m so scared wat to do wat is the reson for this pain
