What Causes Prolonged Bleeding While On Implant?

Ive been on the implant for 5 years now and all of a sudden ive started bleeding. It started 13th feb 2015 and is still going. Was very heavy to begin with and now it looks like its at regular flow but with no signs of stopping just yet. Can you advise me in this situation please
