What Causes Prolonged Bleeding?

i have been bleeding for nearly 4 weeks and i am on monophasic birth control. i was told that i have endometriosis, and to keep taking the pills so i wouldn't have a period. Instead, I have just been bleeding for nearly a month. I am always tired too. This morning I woke up with tender breasts, I hope that I am not pregnant.
