What Causes Prolonged Brownish Bleeding Having Diagnosed With Ovarian Cysts?

hi on the 25th of january this year i got told by my dr that i had an ovarian cyst and i got my period two days later and it went four 7 days and since then i have been bleeding all brownish blood since some days are heavy and other days quite light how long should the brownish blood go for and is their something wrong and back in december i had a d and c so i want to now if their could be something wrong
