What Causes Prolonged Period After Having D&C?

Hi I had a D7C done on Mar30 to terminate my pregnancy. I was around 52 days pregant at that time. I did not have much bleeding post D&C. I got my first period on Apr30..but it was only spotting for 3 days post which I started bleeding . guess it must be my regular period. It is 10 days now and the bleeding is not abated. Will my first perid post D&C be long..when will it abate
