What Causes Prolonged Periods While On Contraceptive Pills?

I had a mariner removed after five yrs, took a 28 day pack of micronor on the 28th day approx got a period it haslasted for five days, wondering how long it will continue not really lightening up yet still taking next packet of tabs, about five into new pack. Thankyou
